1. About us

Caniveto (operated at caniveto.com) is an online utility tools site (generators, validators, formatters, simulators) developed and maintained by Linksoft Tecnologia LTDA, based in Brazil.

This Privacy Policy explains what data Caniveto collects, how it is processed, and what your rights are as a data subject — in compliance with the Brazilian LGPD (Law 13.709/2018) and the European GDPR.

2. Principle: everything runs in your browser

Caniveto was designed to minimize data collection. All tools run their computations exclusively in your browser (client-side). When you paste JSON, generate a CPF, calculate severance or use any other tool:

  • Your input is not sent to our servers;
  • The result is not stored by us anywhere;
  • No data processed by the tools travels over the network.

3. Data we collect

3.1 Data we do NOT collect

  • Content typed into the tools (CPF, JSON, text, etc.);
  • Generated results;
  • Individual usage history.

3.2 Data collected automatically

When you visit a page, our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) and optional analytics tools record:

  • IP address (anonymized when possible);
  • Browser type, device and operating system;
  • Pages visited and time spent;
  • Referrer;
  • Preferred language.

3.3 Local storage

Caniveto uses your browser's localStorage to remember preferences, specifically:

  • caniveto-theme — your light/dark theme choice;
  • caniveto-consent — your cookies and advertising decision.

This data never leaves your device and can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser cache.

4. Cookies and advertising

4.1 First-party cookies

Caniveto does not use first-party cookies. We only use localStorage as described above.

4.2 Third-party advertising (when enabled)

Caniveto may display ads from networks such as Google AdSense and/or Ezoic. When ads are active:

  • These partners use their own cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to Caniveto and other sites;
  • Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads. You can opt out of the DART cookie at Google's ad policies ;
  • For EU/EEA/UK/Switzerland users, we display a consent notice before enabling any advertising cookies, as required by Google's EU user consent policy .

4.3 Traffic analytics (when enabled)

We may use services like Google Analytics or Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand, at an aggregate scale, how the site is used.

5. Legal basis (LGPD/GDPR)

  • Legitimate interest — for anonymous traffic analysis and operational security;
  • Consent — for personalized advertising cookies, when applicable.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. Limited sharing only occurs with:

  • Cloudflare (CDN and hosting);
  • Google AdSense / Ezoic (advertising, when enabled);
  • Analytics provider (when enabled).

7. Your rights

Under LGPD and GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Confirm the existence of processing of your personal data;
  • Access what data we hold about you;
  • Correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
  • Request deletion of data processed with your consent;
  • Request data portability;
  • Revoke previously given consent;
  • File a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.

8. Children

Caniveto is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Retention

Aggregated traffic data is retained for up to 14 months following Google Analytics default retention.

10. Changes

We may update this policy periodically. The date at the top indicates the last revision.
